Ab Kettleby is situated on the A606 between Melton Mowbray and Nottingham. It is approximately 2 miles North of Melton. The church spire is visible as you drive from Melton towards the village. However, the church is situated well back from the roads and can be a bit tricky to find!
The church is usually approached from the North; there are two footpaths that lead to the church yard.
- From Wartnaby Road, proceed along Church Lane until you see the large Horse Chestnut tree. Take the footpath to the right of the tree. (As you walk along the path, Ab Kettleby’s Megalithic spring can be seen beyond the village pond on the left.) Continue to follow the footpath around to the right, then left towards the church.
- Alternatively, from the corner of Wartnaby Road and Chapel Lane, a public footpath runs directly over a field to the church. By the nature of it being a field path, it is not lit during hours of darkness, and the field can get quite muddy during inclement weather.
On-street parking can be found on Wartnaby Road, Church Lane or Chapel Lane. The church does not have any designated parking areas.
